Health

Up to one third of the world's population is latently infected with the infectious agent, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. TB is also responsible for a quarter of all the world's multi-drug resistant infections.
Drinking Water
On 1 February 2018, the European Commission adopted a proposal for the revision of the Drinking Water Directive. This proposal, in reaction to the Right2Water European Citizens' Initiative (ECI), foresees, among other important elements, an obligation for Member States to improve access to water and ensure its access for vulnerable and marginalized groups. The Right2Water initiative was one of the first European Citizens’ Initiatives launched in 2012, just after the ECI instrument was introduced on 1 April 2012 by the Treaty of Lisbon.
