EU-funded project attempts to address the cardiovascular diseases

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 17.7 million deaths are caused by cardiovascular disease every year, representing 31 % of total global mortality. The total budget for the project is over EUR 1 600 000, with more than EUR 800 000 coming from the ERDF plus co-financing from the universities themselves.
