Strategic Approach to Pharmaceuticals in the Environment

Pharmaceuticals discarded in the environment pose a risk to fish or other wildlife and an incorrectly dispose may contribute to the antimicrobial resistance. The EU "Strategic Approach to Pharmaceuticals in the Environment" identifies six action areas concerning all stages of the pharmaceutical life cycle, in line with the principles of Sustainable Products in a Circular Economy.
