A new tool for scientists to assess chemical mixtures

In our daily routine, we are exposed to wide-range of chemicals and mixtures of chemicals from different sources.  The same is true for animals, and the number of combinations for these chemicals can be infinite. The European Food Safety Agency is working to understand how these combined chemicals behave and developed a tool that will help scientists evaluate the potential 'combined effects' of chemical mixtures in food.
