Stronger European border and coast guard

Strengthening Europe's border security is a priority for the EU. The European Commission welcomes the political agreement for a stronger European Border and Coast Guard. The new standing corps of 10,000 border guards will be rolled out by 2027 and will also cooperate with non-EU countries.
