Palliative care for children

Located in São Mamede Infesta, Matosinhos, Portugal and funded by the EU, Kastelo is the first paediatric palliative care unit on the Iberian Peninsula. A team of nurses and paediatricians provides clinical and psychosocial services to give up to 30 children with chronic illnesses a better quality of life in an environment that cares for the entire family.
