There is no excuse for gender-based violence.Yet, 1 in 3 women experience violence throughout their lifetime. European Commission welcomes the agreement reached between the @EuropeanParliament and the @eucouncil on the first ever EU legislation on combating violence against women and domestic violence.The Directive criminalises: 🛑physical violence 🛑psychological 🛑economic 🛑and sexual violence against women across the EU, both offline and online.
