Italian-Swiss hiking trails step up their digital presence
An ERDF-funded project is continuing to promote cross-border hiking in Italy and Switzerland during the COVID-19 crisis. The Municipality of Lecco, the lead partner, has launched activities on digital communication and training to help keep the project alive until tourists return.

In 2019, the European Union of 27 Member States granted protection status to 295 800 asylum seekers. Compared to 2018 (316 200), total number of persons granted protection status was down by 6%.
