Health
Tuberculosis (TB) kills globally more people than any other infectious disease. In 2016, an estimated 10.4 million people developed TB and 1.7 million people died as a result. Up to one third of the world's population is latently infected with the infectious agent, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. TB is also responsible for a quarter of all the world's multi-drug resistant infections.
