Europe is leading the way on climate action, keeping the interests of its citizens in mind and providing opportunities for the European industry. The final two pillars of the EU rules needed to reduce our net greenhouse gas emission by 55% by 2030 were adopted by the European Commission. This will not only make us reach our climate goals for 2030 but put us on track to surpass them. The full legislative package includes, among others: - a new renewable energy target for 2030 at a minimum of 42.5%, up from 32% - a new fund with over €86 billion to support the most vulnerable citizens and small businesses in the green transition.- a phaseout of new polluting vehicles by 2035. #EUGreenDeal #EuropeanUnion
