In fact, data indicates that for two days – on November 18 and 19, the global temperatures exceeded the pre-industrial level by more than 2°C. 🔴 The situation is becoming all the more urgent! At #COP28, the world needs to agree to drastically reduce emissions. ✔️ The EU is pushing for stronger climate ambition, finance, and global energy goals, including: ☀️ tripling global renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency by 2030. ⛽ agreeing on phasing out unabated fossil fuels, ⛽ ensuring the fossil fuel consumption peaks ahead of 2030, 📉 radically reduce methane emissions. ✔️ The EU has the world’s strongest climate laws for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
