Marine litter in the deep Mediterranean seabed is among the worst worldwide, a study by European Commission's Joint Research Centre reveals.The study was conducted using a deep-sea submersible vehicle, by Caladan Oceanic, which captured footage of the seafloor.The findings of this study serve as a stark reminder of the urgent need to reduce plastic pollution in our oceans, suggesting the importance of reducing the use of single-use plastics to address this growing crisis.
