🏗️ With the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, '𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐨-𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧' will become the standard for new buildings in the EU➡️ from 2028 for new buildings owned by public bodies➡️ from 2030 for all other new buildings Thanks to its very good insulation, efficient equipment, renewable energy use, and capability to adapt to the grid, a zero-emission building consumes on average about 10 times less energy than a building in energy class G.A zero-emission building should therefore have low energy bills and be considerably less affected by the fluctuations of the prices of fossil fuels that are largely imported and influenced by global markets and geopolitical changes.
