European Commission has introduced new duties on Chinese mobile access equipment (MAE) after an investigation found unfair advantages—like subsidised land, tax breaks, and easier access to loans. These countervailing duties (7.3% to 14.2%) come on top of anti-dumping duties from January 2025, bringing the total charges on Chinese MAE imports to between 20.6% and 66.7%.This is an important move to support an EU industry that’s essential to construction, manufacturing, and more—and which employs over 3,000 people across several Member States.
