UE acordă peste 52 de milioane de euro pentru achiziționarea a 37 de trenuri electrice de ultimă generație în România! 🚆🌱În urma acordului Comisiei Europene, acest proiect urmărește să îmbunătățească călătoriile pe 13 rute interregionale, îmbunătăţind rețeaua feroviară a României. 🛤️🌟Elisa Ferreira, Comisarul pentru Coeziune și Reforme, a lăudat acest proiect, menţionând că aceste trenuri de ultimă generație vor influența pozitiv întregul sistem feroviar românesc. 🙌🏼🌏 Prin creșterea comodității și a frecvenței călătoriilor, aceste trenuri vor promova coeziunea socială, vor oferi un acces mai bun la locuri de muncă și vor consolida serviciile publice pentru toți. The cap is also reduced annually in line with the EU’s climate target, ensuring that greenhouse gas emissions decrease over time. An example would be the emissions from power and industry plants that have reduced by 37% since 2005. Our Innovation Fund, completely funded by the ETS, will have secured €6.5 billion for 104 clean tech projects by 2023-end. Cultiver la paix et la cohésion sociale à travers la musique et le sport, c’est l’objectif du projet « Nos voix pour la paix » initié par l’UE au Burkina Faso, en collaboration avec un collectif de neuf musiciens.Alors que le Burkina Faso est affecté par des attaques djihadistes et des déplacements massifs de populations, le projet « Nos voix pour la paix » a été initié par l'UE pour faire passer un message de paix dans 8 grandes villes du pays.9 artistes ont ainsi composé une chanson au titre évocateur, « Sauvons la paix ». Le clip de la chanson a été diffusé sur les réseaux sociaux et dans les grands médias du Burkina. Ces artistes ont également sillonné le pays pour organiser diverses activités sociales, et sensibiliser le public sur l'importance de la paix et de la cohésion sociale.Un artiste reconnu et engagé pour le projetLe projet « Nos voix pour la paix », financé par l'UE, a été porté par l'artiste burkinabè Alif Naaba, un chanteur et musicien engagé, reconnu sur la scène nationale et internationale. Il s'est notamment investi dans la composition de la musique d'une pièce de théâtre pour le 15ème anniversaire du génocide au Rwanda. Meilleur artiste musical du Burkina Faso en 2014, il a collaboré avec le groupe français de reggae Dub Inc, lui permettant d'obtenir un disque d'or en 2017.Un collectif d'artistes pour une chansonAlif Naaba a rassemblé huit autres grands musiciens burkinabés, au sein du collectif « Nos voix pour la paix » pour mettre en œuvre ce projet de sensibilisation sous forme d'une chanson commune. « Sauvons la paix » est interprétée dans les principales langues du Burkina, le mooré, le fulfuldé, le dioula ainsi qu'en français. Les artistes impliqués dans le collectif sont Floby (meilleur artiste du Burkina en 2010 et 2019), Amzy (artiste de la révélation en 2019), Kayawoto (artiste le plus écouté par les jeunes), Sydyr (chanteur peulh), Sissao & ATT (artistes mandingues) et 2 jeunes artistes féminines Fleur et Flora Paré.

🔍 Microplastics are in the food we eat and in the water we drink. They are everywhere – in the seas, rivers, and on land. European Commission has just adopted new measures to restrict microplastics intentionally added to products under the EU chemical legislation REACH. Among the products affected: 💧 Cosmetics containing microbeads, ⚽ The granular infill material used on artificial sport surfaces, ✨ Detergents, fabric softeners, glitter, fertilisers, plant protection products, toys, medicines and medical devices, just to name a few. These new rules are a major step towards fighting microplastic pollution as they will prevent the release to the environment of about half a million tonnes of microplastics over 20 years! #EUGreenDeal #ZeroPollution
Héctor Valdez, a dedicated farmer in Dajabon, Dominican Republic, raises cattle for milk and meat production. For years, he struggled with recurring droughts that would stretch on for six to seven challenging months. To combat this pressing issue, Hector previously relied on water pumps that draw water from a nearby lake into a reservoir that helped irrigate his farm. However, this solution came at a high cost and was far from environmentally friendly, as it depended on gasoline to operate.In 2021, Héctor discovered a more sustainable solution. Thanks to financing secured through the Banfondesa Renovable green credit line, supported by the European Investment Bank, he installed a solar-powered water pump. Now, as soon as the sun rises, the pump is powered and supplies his farm with water. This transformative solution not only eases Hector's daily life but has also significantly increased his agricultural yields. Banfondesa Renovable is the result of an EIB Technical Assistance programme.
